Cherry Tree Garden's Now Open

 

Cherry Tree Gardens welcomed it's first residents in November 2011. It is a fantastic complex designed for independent living, run in partnership with GenToo.

Sunderland Home Care can provide different levels of care for the residents based on their own needs.

The complex even has it's own restuarant, hair dressers and various lounge areas for residents and visitors to enjoy.

 

Herrington Park Cafe Now Open

 

Suderland Home Care has recently opened a new cafe in Herrington Country Park, located off the A183 and just across from the Penshaw Monument.

The cafe employs local people with learning difficulties and gives them work experience and other valuable skills. The new employee’s even enjoy the benefits of the share scheme offered to all staff of Sunderland Home Care.

The cafe sells hot and cold drinks, snacks and other items to help make your visit to the park even more enjoyable.

Margaret Elliott, the founder and executive director of employee owned, Sunderland Home Care Associates, has been awarded an OBE in the 2008 New Years Honours List for services to the City of Sunderland.

Sunderland Home Care's first venue into catering is still going strong and building in popularity.

The cafe was our firist project to employ people with learning difficulties and give them work experience.

The cafe provides hot and cold food, snacks and drinks to local residents as well as a valuable place to meet and relax.O
